Hi there,

I hope you and your family are well.

I started The Tennis Practice halfway through 2018 with the intention of building myself a little part-time job so my wife could return to full-time work while I stayed at home with my two young daughters.

Even referring to tennis coaching as a ‘job’ is weird. I’ve had jobs in the past and I can guarantee you this ain’t one of them. This is really fun!

As the last couple of years have unfolded and my ambition has changed, The Tennis Practice has become a business. We now have a team of four coaches and see close to 200 students every week - I see this as our first couple of baby steps. Our best is yet to come, promise!

Earlier today we were notified by Blacktown City Council that all sporting fields have now been closed (effective immediately and until further notice) to help fight the outbreak of COVID-19. Unfortunately this means tennis courts, our office is now closed.

So with this news, all sessions at The Tennis Practice are on hold until further notice.

I’d like to thank our team of coaches who have tried their hardest to keep our sessions running while ensuring the safety of our students during these unprecedented times. I couldn’t be prouder of Ranudi, Vish and Dannielle.

I’d also like to thank you for your support over the last couple of weeks. We’ve all handled the increased hygiene practices incredibly well which is a reason why we’ve been able to continue.

Being forced to press pause on the business should be a sad time, but I’m actually really excited for the future of The Tennis Practice. I see the coming weeks and months as an opportunity to take our tennis school to the next level and offer you the best possible experience.

While we’re off the court we’ll be offering you a bunch of fun ways to keep active at home so make sure you like our Facebook page.

Do I get credit for the remaining lessons?

Yep, you’ll receive credits for any sessions you missed during Term 1. Whether you have group or private sessions, you won’t miss a second of the tennis you payed for.

When will I be able to rejoin?

Sessions will commence one week after we’re given the green light from Blacktown City Council and sporting venues re-open. We’ll email you with all the details as they’re released.

So sit tight, enjoy the extra time with your family, and we’ll get back on court in no time. I can’t wait!

Now go wash them hands!
